It is 3rd party app which have 3D animation. Screen should be captured quickly for having ability to make movie from frame sequence.
I downloaded boxedapp sdk trial from here
Looks like it is able to intercept GDI functions in 64-bit systems.

Not sure what to do here. I wonder what the http://portableapps.com/ people do? All of those applications are versions of software that run without making modifications to the local system.

I have a feeling that it's all just based on voluntary modifications from the developers or modifications of free/open-source software to run differently, so it might not be any help to your problem at all other than to show that there exists some solution for some software.

Again, I'm not a Win32 expert, but can't you get a handle to any open window on the system (given appropriately privileges) and capture its contents? I suppose this depends on what you are trying to do. If this is your application that you coded, I would program it better to support multiple targets for rendering. If it's a 3rd party app, you can go for that "screenshot"-like approach, although that probably only works well if you know when to capture and the contents are not changing too quickly.

Programming Questions / Exporting 3rd party app

Hello!

A have third-party app, which takes configuration from registry and I have no installation pack. Now I need to make it runable on other PCs without any changes in registry of these PCs.
What I have tried is looking for some application virtualization tools, but they are too expensive (Thinstall costs $4295!!!) or not able to create virtual registry entries…
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Programming Questions / Alternatives to Microsoft Detours Professional?

Hi!

I need to intercept GDI function to save painted screen to hard drive. I  have tried Microsoft Detours. Everything is good, but I need 64-bit version (Detours Professional do support but it costs much). Is there any 64-bit alternatives to Detours Professional?

Recently I found Deleaker on the Internet. It helps to investigate memory and GDI leaks. Exactly what I need :)

Well I don't know what the ActiveX provides you. If you are trying to tell me that the ONLY way it gives you to play a movie is to point it at a file, then that is your only option (obviously). If you can pass it a URL instead, then you can use the solution like I said. If it can play a movie from a pipe, then you can use the same technique that way. So, the question is, what interfaces does it provide to you to play the movie? I figured it could take at least a URL since the typical Flash movie is located on the internet.

The issue that for all standart Flash Player ActiveX you have to save file, that should be played, to a temporary location to load it and play. You'll have to create a corresponding link that you can pass to the Flash Player ActiveX and then delete file after it is played. So as far local copy is created, this copy is still vulnerable for 3rd party access and it have to be downloaded entirely.
