Someone asked me recently what the operator keyword is for.  We will eventually take up this topic much later in this course. But anyway to satisfy your curiousity, please read the full explatation at this link:

Operator overloading is a feature of C++ that makes it among the most flexible languages in the IT industry.  

While I encourage you to read ahead and learn some of the advanced topics, I still expect you will spend more time concentrating on the fundamentals of programming.  you should be aware that a solid foundation on the basic concepts will guarantee your readiness for challenging topics later in the course.
